FlymeOS (latest version) is actually a pretty and powerful OS. In fact, they rolled out quasi-flat UI paradigm before Google's Lollipop and Apple's iOS 7.

If they added Multi-Window from the NOTE it would be a killer offering.

At least much better than Ubuntu Touch with a Flyme skin, or an Android OS with a Ubuntu Touch skin.

Hate to disappoint you, Dave, but those already exist:

First, there was basically forking other open-source projects just to end up with equivalent apps/programs, just to designate ownership of those apps/programs to the Ubuntu project (the Dolphin-to-Ubuntu's-Nautilus debacle being a prime example).

Now, they're doing the exact opposite with the smartphone. Rather than conform to the "build it ourselves" mentality Canonical has had over the course of Ubuntu's life, they're now sharing organs with their new partners. What happened to "one interface," Canonical?

Better start counting my blessings now that I no longer use Ubuntu.

While I feel Sailfish is superior (better interface, actually multitasking) Ubuntu does appear like it might be more open (source) than Sailfish so it does have a redeeming quality, it also might be more widely available (US for example). Meizu actually might hurt this with putting their own interface on it which is possibly not be open. Maybe Bq will use that unity interface.

I think there's no mention of it here on TMO, so:
