Arora is a simple WebKit-based web browser using the Qt toolkit, originally based on the Qt demo browser written to showcase the capabilities of QtWebKit.
http://arora-browser.org

My Maemo Port of Arora: here

Installation:
1) We need Qt4.4.3 so add Maemo extras-devel repository
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/ diablo free non-free
install button
arora depends : libc6, libgcc1, libqt4-network, libqt4-webkit, libqtcore4, libqtgui4, libstdc++6.

Тalk many thanks to the project http://qt4.garage.maemo.org/ for possibility easily way to run many Qt4 applications on NIT.

2) Download and install Arora deb
In terminal:
Code:
dpkg -i arora_0.5_git20090302_armel.deb
Or via Applet manager ( better in terminal - you can see and solve dependences problems ).

3) Hide Bookmarks Bar, Setup Dowload dir, Select interface language if need.

Try It

Great work but you might want to go ahead and tell everyone you are going to have to do a apt-get -f install for dependences since a lot of people might not know what to do once it fails. Other then that it installed fine. One suggestion since it doesn't have nice scrolling from anywhere on screen is there a way for you to up the size of the scroll bar? I know you can up scroll bar in built in browser using theme didn't know if you could in programming. Keep up the good work.

Welcome to the bloated world of Qt and C++! :P

Maybe a "strip" on the executable will reduce size. This can help significantly with fat C++ stuff.

Changing between tabs is a little slow also it took a while for my gmail to open but I use one of those gmail templates and they slow it down.

If the deb is made the "proper" way (i.e from debian source packages), then the binary is likely to be stripped as dh_strip (which is ran from the rules file, unless you comment it) is ran which will strip all binaries in the package.

How's it compare to Tear (uber fast?) and Microb (kinda slow)
