Just format your sd card.
Then, remove u-boot
Open x-terminal type:
root
apt-get install kernel-power-flasher.

Y'day I installed Nemo and when I today formatted the SD card it also shows me 3.5 GB total space in place of 8 GB. Can someone please help here to reclaim complete space on the sd card. Please help.

for the ones facing space problem since it created 2 partiton on your card
1 ext3 and 1 fat you need to format the entire card not just 1 partion to again see the space as whole.

root
umount /media/mmc1
mkfs.vfat /dev/mmcblk1

after formating is complete

mount /dev/mmcblk1 /media/mmc1

And also try to post in appropiate platform.Should come under N900 device platform and not MeeGo

Seems like need to delete partitions then. first install leafpad or if you can work with vi no problem.
copy the attachment to your N900 memory.
Code:
BusyBox v1.20.2 (Debian 1.20.2power5+thumb0) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
~ $ root

BusyBox v1.20.2 (Debian 1.20.2power5+thumb0) built-in shell (ash)

Nokia-N900:~# umount /media/mmc1/
Nokia-N900:~# cd /home/user/MyDocs/
Nokia-N900:/home/user/MyDocs# mv partion.sh.txt partion.sh
Nokia-N900:/home/user/MyDocs# sh partion.sh
After finished
mount /dev/mmcblk1 /media/mmc1

If any error post it here so that we have a look

Thanks for your help, but I was able to reclaim the space back by formatting the mem card using partition master. But, appreciate your help and attention.
