so as this is supposed to be the bugtracker for xchat:
WHAT TO DO: click and hold channel tab for popup menu, select "add to favourites", accept dialog saying "added <chanel> to blabla list", restart xchat (as it's known to store config only on regular quit)
EXPECTED RESULT: xchat starts and opens the channel just added to favourites
ACTUAL RESULT: channel missing in list of channels to auto-open on startup, channel not opened

cheers

another somewhat related bug:
WHAT TO DO:
menu->[xchat]->[network list...]
on "Networks" tab, select e.g. <FreeNode>, hit [Edit...]
on "Connecting(2)" tab, hit [...] of "Favourite channels:"
in "XChat: Favourite Channels (Auto-Join List)" menu, hit [Add]
a new highlighted entry "#channel" with focus pops up, edit it to e.g. "#aaa"
click [OK] (do NOT click somewhere else to set focus to another list item!)

EXPECTED RESULT:
"Favourite channels:" list in "XChat Edit FreeNode", Tab "Connecting(2)" should contain item "#aaa,"

ACTUAL RESULT:
list contains "#channel," istead of "#aaa,"

slightly off-topic, is there a working sysinfo script/plugin for xchat on the n900?

looked around a bit on the web, couldn't find anything usable.

If you're getting the dreaded
Code:
*** Notice -- You need to identify via SASL to use this server
Closing Link: *********.tmodns.net (SASL access only)
message on freenode or the like, I found a pretty good SASL plugin in C. I posted a quick set of instructions to get it up and running over on my blog: http://bluevandevelopment.com/blog/2...c-on-the-n900/

Not sure if author is still around, but it doesn't hurt to ask:

Is there any chance for vibra coming back? Or including different led colour for channel message/pm/your username in message(highlighted line)? Having backlight on all the time drains battery heavily, and having different notifications would be very useful.

Havng a different LED color is a no-go, sorry. I think the vibra can be configured in the Maemo system notifications settings.

I use Opera as my main browser. When I "right-click" on a link in xchat and try to open it with Opera it says: -remote/ ,in the adress-bar. Anyone else experiencing this?

Is it possible to open links from Youtube with cutetube when right-clicking in Xchat?

Thanks

Edit:
This is what the url-handler states:
!opera -remote 'openURL(%s)'

Edit 2:
Open link in browser works since I have Opera as default browser. Didn't try that earlier. Doh!

I know this is not the thread for this plugin but query12 seems to post here and i could not find the thread for x-sys.

I use a N810WE and every time i use x-sys it crashes xchat immediately. Is this a known error and is there a fix?

Happens on what i think is something in /osinfo as both that command and /sysinfo crash it any other command works with no problems.
