if you have problems with lockscreen widget, probably meecastd not started. do the following:
Code:
systemctl --user enable meecastd
systemctl --user start meecastd

Any chance that updates for Meecast will also be available in the Jolla Store?

I don't quite understand what you mean with this answer? I guess you mean that Meecast daemon and lockscreen won' t make it in the Jolla Store? That's not why I'm asking this.
The reason I asked is because the Meecast version in the Jolla Store (0.9.14) is already 2 versions behind on the one in Warehouse (0.9.16)

I have not forgotten about it. All changes in latest new version was linked with new features of lockscreen and daemon. I upload to Jolla store only stable releases and I was not sure that my last changes don't have any problems.

I've uploaded the new version of MeeCast and Lockscreen to Openrepos

Changelog:
* Fixed problem with hko source
* Fixed problem with 'Undefined' text after first widget start

Your problem was fixed on daemon package. Try it
