This works just fine for me.

Give me just one other manufacturer you can do the same thing with ! Of course, others may not have the same basics bugs, but they're small, I have no doubt they're doing their best, and it's pretty good imho.
Today it's new marketing strategy to show they care about you. Many companies answering and helping you even over twitter, it's good for their image after all they sell not only product, but image and label, which adds up to product if they gain popularity.

A lot of issues in TJC have been addressed - I personally raised a few and most if not all of them are already fixed. Of course YMMV and this depends on the complexity of the request, but TJC does work. I don't know that the competition has anything similar to be honest, and that's one of the reasons I don't get another phone.
Tjc is a mess and a lot of voted by many threads are still hanging, so like someone above says, some things go to black hole. I understand it's resources, but on other hand proper Bugzilla and more opensource can only help them.

€400 was ridiculous even when Jolla was brand new. In the affluent part of the world. Charging the same 16 months later, in a less well-off part of the world, for a phone whose hardware was outdated on the day it was first released, sounds like a bad joke.
