Hi,

I have a big problem with the last firmware update.
N900 keeps rebooting.

I've tried previous firmware but I have the same issue.

I've tried flasher-3.5.exe --enable-rd-mode --set-rd-flags=no-lifeguard-reset
and rebooting while pressing repeatedly crtl-maj-x but I can't access xTerm
(I would like to remove applications that may have caused this crash)

Do you have an idea ?

Thanks in advance,
Arnaud

If you've already reflashed then it's not an applications issue (unless you reinstalled them). You may need to reflash the eMMC as well - before you do that, power off the N900 and connect it to the PC. It should start up in mass storage mode, so you can copy anything you want to keep from the MyDocs folder (including the supplied ring-tones, etc. as the vanilla eMMC firmware is missing most of that).

Reflash the eMMC and 3.2010.02-8 firmware.

durrr!!!! of cause your sim card won't work. You are fashing your device backward to the past where as the driver is already updated in the kernal from your previous latest update. Now try this, flash it to PR1 and use NSU to do your update. If it still stuck on reboot loop then do what the suggestion above. Format your eMMC as well.

Yes, formatting the eMMC as well completely solved my problems. I think that many of us have problems left over from things that we weren't even aware of and suddenly we think that a reboot loop is caused by some recent event when actually it is a leftover problem caused at some other time. Anyway, formatting the eMMC is often the cure.

The comment "after flashing rebooting" leaves out the question, did you flash the eMMC? I don't think you did.
