Hey, people.
I am using modest by doing X forwarding. So I ssh to n900, run modest and its painted on my laptop screen.
(it's possible when you install xauth and ssh on maemo)
So, now I can use my laptop's keyboard to write letters in modest.

However, when I press <enter>, nothing happens, line doesn't change
So I wonder if there's some other solutions. ctrl+M doesn't work, that's not a terminal

When I run osso-xterm, ctrl+M works.
When I run leafpad, I have the same problem, no enter.
Any ideas?

besides, if I copy paste text from my laptop's leafpad, to the maemo then everything is corect.

IIRC the N900's "Enter" key is really mapped to KP_ENTER (ie the "Enter" key on a "normal" keyboard's numeric keypad). Your laptop probably doesn't have one of those :-(

Aaaaa, you're right!
I've tried to connect external keyboard to the laptop, and numeric keyboard <enter> indeed works.
At least now I know what to remap, or that I need the keyboard
