Is it possible? The stock OS looks more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion, and it looks a bit more promising than Harmattan.

If this isn't worth it/not possible, is it possible to port Tizen to the N9? That seems like something that might be a good bandwagon to jump on, especially with backing by a large corporation like Samsung

Look at Nemo for the N9, as that is derived from the stock MeeGo.
Note that the stock MeeGo is no longer being developed. Older Nemo versions feature the old stock MeeGo handset UI though.

and Tizen? It's open source, isn't it? It can theoretically be ported, I'd assume. (I can't port at all, don't ask me to do it :P )
