I was wondering why there have been no pressure-sensitve apps so far. Now I know why, there's a bug in the readings!

Update:
Great News!!!
Found a reverted patch in mypaint git repository that greatly reduced the ghost line problem on my n900 without disabling pressure sensibility:
http://gitorious.org/mypaint/mypaint...a842a25904a6fd
The patch above was reverted due to problems with external drawing pads (that report location without pressure events) our screens need the pressure event to report the new drawing location.
Updated packages links in the first post.
Yes - it works better now... Finally!

Wow. This looks very nice. I've been wondering where all the drawing apps are hiding.

well, prior to this I was using MTPaint courtesy of Pupnik. It was servicable, though not hildonized. mypaint installed mostly painlessly. seems pretty usable, though there are definately some performance issues depending on the chosen brush .

Yes, but I bet there are some buildflags to apply to optimize the performance - like in the Diablo version.

I have feature request. Would it be possible to add the ability to open an image and paint on it instead of just a blank canvas?

I saw this app and almost, well I will save everyone from a visual.

However after going through the process Mypaint will not load. Here is what I am getting for an error;

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last);
 File "/usr/bin/mypaint", line 78, in >module>
 from gui import main
 File "/usr/share/mypaint/gui/main.py", line 10, in <module>
 import gtk, hildon osso
ImportError: No module named gtk

I double checked all the packages and it looks like I have everything correct. I know I am missing something very obvious but can't place my finger on it.

Looks like some major python package is missing (python-gtk2). Don't you have any other python-based app installed on your N900 yet?
