I found out that the acid3 test was released, and was curious to see how the browser on in OS2008 preformed. I got the following results

IE7 on Winxp: 5/100
Firefox on Winxp: 50/100
Microb Browser on Maemo (Os2008): 52/100.

Heres the link to the test: http://acid3.acidtests.org/

Not such a bad browser after all.

Good to know...

I think Opera browser is the most "standard compliant" browser. (At least the ones that are available for Windows.) If someone still has OS2007 on your NIT should try this how it (Opera) fares?

I can try the Opera for Windows at home later today.

what the heck is this even testing? Firefox (on Linux KDE PC) fails the "test" and Konqueror on both my PC and my N810 crash with Seg 11 faults. There's no information on the page indicating what a pass/fail/crash indicates.

It's testing compliance with web standards:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid3 contains all the information and guidance you could want.
