Yep, for me it happened for all my contacts (Facebook, GTalk, Skype and AIM) too.

Though it happened only once (when I rebooted and got online for the first time after installing the app).

Tested it again for:
1. Reboot and went online - did not receive those bulk notifications.
2. Went offline and online - did not receive bulk notifications.
3. Disabled an Account and re-enabled - did not receive bulk notifications.

Not sure how you get the presence change but seems the notifications were for initial presence change (no presence to offline/online). If this can be handled by some post install script which suppresses the notifications but just gets initial presence, then there won't be these bulk notifications. I may be completely out of context here but just a thought.

When too many contacts go offline or on, the window sizes become so small that you can only see 1 displayed. It does not display the contact name. BTW, this is on skype.

Not tested atm but gonna download it but i have already some stuff to ask :

1) Anyway to have notification and/or a list widget with all evenement on a list.

2) Anyway to put notifications for particular contact ? Like i want notification only for Contact X and Y ?

Ty for your great work

thank you for this! another great addition to the n900. i am testing it now, and everything seems to be working as expected. i have one question and one feature request.
Q: how can we expect this to affect battery life?
FR: vibration or sound when a on contact come online (useful when screen is off/locked). and, perhaps the ability to disable notifications entirely when device is secured to save battery.
thanks again for all your hard work.

Nice app! How about allowing some sound configuration too?

hi, its working great on my device, need to ask something, in your next version can we get an update for offline contact, means as a contact goes offline can get the same notification...and yes adding sound while getting onlne, offline would be awsome...

regards.

Many great ideas, thank you!

This is the first thing I will work on:
When you go online the first time after a reboot it
may happen that you recieve dozens of notifications
for all your contacts.

And after that:
enable/disable notification for every account, or contact.
A per account configuration should be simple to
implement.

For the sound and/or vibra notification I am not
sure how annoying this may be. I will make some tests,
but I thing it is good to have this option only per
contact or account and not for all notification.
