So, not a lot of specs in terms of backcover-connectivity are known at this moment. But to not inhibit the free flow of creativity, let's for fun assume we will have all the connectivity possibilities in the world.

Share your ideas of high and low priority cover functionality, useful combo's, fun and/or practical, real world use or just funky showcases!

Someone made this cool image. Thx for that. I really like it.

1. when phone is connected it must be possible to use phone 3G connection.
2. should be possible connect phone so it is possible to use phone as a kick-stand.

Just a cover with kickstand could be an easy start. Doesn't even have connected to the device itself. Have several of these. But if its connected to the device itself it will be thinner and lighter over all.

Like these. I think they are the best sine they cover the screen and can be used as kickstand. If you can do a simple one as these as you first TOH i think its a good start?

what about backCover where you could connect your 3/4G modem with fullsize USB?

This should bring shame to Google and its "Pure-Android" tablet. And bring shame to NOKIA for giving up on Maemo/Mer/MeeGo. And bring true competition to the iPad.

I doubt it could match any of them in terms of availability, support, accessories, Applications and Battery Life.

But still a great tablet, I'm excited. Canonical, take your thumb out of youra ss and learn a thing or two. Or at least stop with the duplication of work, and join to meet the Mer/SailOS' goals.

Personally, I'd love to have a keyboard 'other half' for the tablet -- Like the N900, having a keyboard turns it into a 'development' device from a 'consumption' device.
Alternately, a *huge* battery pack that would allow it to be used for a full day plus(at least 12 hours at full load) would be awesome.

^Pretty much this.

Hopefully its an attachable keyboard so it can power the tablet and become a laptop (a la ASUS Transformer).

And hopefully it has Bluetooth 4.0 so that you can attach the tablet to a display or something and navigate the device from the keyboard on your lap (from the comfort of your couch ofcourse).

BT4.0 and USB-OTG!

Lots of possibilities for development!
