Does this digitial USB Compass work with n900?

seems like a self-featured geocaching solution. i dont think that this baby will give you any gps information by the usb cable.

AFAICS that is a simple gps-navigator where you can mark a spot, and find your way back to that spot.

That's exactly the question.
It is a data cable (not only power).
What could be transmitted as data?
If we take the minimal supposition it would be the gps data.

But the gps data includes direction.

Couldn't it be that the gps directional data was supplied by the digital compass in the case that you are standing still?

even if is a data cable, that doesnt means it will gives you the data that you want, in a format that your n900 can understand.

maybe you need to ask in a dedicated gps forum if that device can be used as an external gps device for a notebook
