Does anyone know how to tether the N810 W.E. to a laptop to provide WiMax services to the laptop? It'd be more convenient than getting Yet Another Xohm Toy. Thanks.

Couldn't you do this with PPP/BT or ad-hoc ethernet, and then use iptables to turn on NAT?

I don't have WiMax, but you can do various things to forward packets - e.g. add the usb ethernet gadget device (see the usb networking in the wiki or various threads).

You can use iptables or a proxy server.

I've gotten this question a couple of times, glad to see others are curious.

It is possible. I read somewhere about someone who did this. He used it at home as well. It was a blog. It had several parts about the N810WME with descriptions of user experiences. Unfortunately, can't find it. I don't remember how he did it though. I think with USB cable.
