I have been trying to activate turn by turn navigation for a new N810 for two weeks now: In the map application, I for instance choose

About map
Purchase navigation
Free navigation trial

and after minutes of : "Requesting free trial version"

I receive the following error messages:
Licensing failed - Network error. Please retry later.
Licensing error - An unknown error (0) has occurred.

If I try the "purchase" option, a similar problem appears.

Any solutions to this problem?

Internet works fine, map download also works. I also upgrade the N810 to latest software versions with Nokia's update wizard..

obviously something is borked... what i would do is a complete uninstall of the wayfinder application (along with all hidden files) and reinstall. i postedd about an issue a couple of weeks ago w/ wayfinder more detailed directions are there..........2 hung over/tired to search my posts to post link good luck

If it still does not work after reflash: Wayfinder will not work correctly if you use a proxy (like privoxy).

SAME PROBLEM! Anyone know what the problem is? Wayfinder network down??

I tried to evaluate the free trial for wayfinder, and I get this error message.

! Licensing failed
System Error.

! Licensing error
An unknown error (0) has occured.


I already tried uninstalling the map application. I have also just recently updated to the newest version of Diablo.

Wayfinder network down???

did u read the entire thread linked to in post 3 above? did u follow *all*the steps in that thread? it doesn't sound like you did. report back after you delete everything mentioned and reinstall everything if you are still having an issue.

sure you can contact them....but they will tell you to reflash and start from fresh...the original poster got into this mess by reflashing to begin with if i read his post correctly.....if you READ the thread noted above- you will find the directions to reactivate without reflashing...there is no need to reflash....

I found out that if you get the following error when trying to request a free trial, it is because

Wayfinder's network is down.

! Licensing failed
System Error.

! Licensing error
An unknown error (0) has occured.


Now that the wayfinder network is up, you will get this error if you try to change your mac address

and get another free trial evaluation.

! Licensing error
An unknown error (99) has occured.


If you try to delete the navicore folder, you will find this message.

! Licensing error
A memory write error has occured.


To fix all this, reset your n810 but the program will report "Free trial expired ****-**-**. Please

purchase the product."

=)

**EDIT**
For future uses.. forget paying a stupid subscription that will expire.

Instead, use Maemo Mapper

or try Navit

Ah yes, that explains I had some issues with updating my traffic information as well. But because soso100 said he/she tried activating past weeks therefore I thought this couldn't have been the problem. Right now, it most definetely is at least part of the problem.
