Any ad-blocking availible for this? Any other bugs/reasons not to use this over microb?

Is the deb on the same directory where you're giving the command? If not you need to point the path it. The command you're giving assumes that the deb is the /home/user folder.

f.ex if the deb is your MyDocs folder, you need to
dpkg -i ./MyDocs/arora_0.5_git20090302_armel.deb

Arora is a pretty good browser

Here are some advantages/disadvantages comparing to Tear:

+ Arora handles all the forums and wikis that Tear has problems with...
+ Arora seems to handle cookies without any hacks, does it?
+ Arora has tabs
+ Arora has no theming problems
+ I like that Arora has smaler panels, and back button is located to the left side.

- If multiple windows open. closing one of them, closes everyone.
- Arora doesn't have a finger scroll
- Arora doesn't have a right-click
- It feels a bit slower than Tear, this is not a test result, just my feeling.
- Arora isn't completely hildonized, pressing the app-switcher button (F5) reloads the page.
And i think it's stupid that some links open in new window instead of a new tab.

EDIT: Arora does have a working download manager.

But you can use another little Qt apps with him
Copy the bloated stuff onto the internal MMC and set the folder containing that as a symlink to /media/mmc2/[folder].
I tried this with another app with 8MB of libraries.

Actually, it's quite comparable to the size of microb + gtk (since that would be the rough functional equivalent).

??? long tap working like right-click (menu copy, paste, open link in new tab etc.)

It's can be fixed - I just dont see this problem (On BB Arora really refresh the page by F5, so there was an overlay with app-switcher button on NIT)

Right click is not working for me.

Theming is also kinda weird. Qt theme is only working if i start arora as root. when ran by user, it tries to clone GTK style or something... I tried to fix the theming issue by installing some other Qt 4 related packages like kdebase-runtime, but it did not help. Thanks for the great browser anyway.

EDIT: More about the theme issue:

When started as root:
Code:
/home/user # arora
QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine.
Object::connect: No such slot BrowserApplication::setZoomTextOnly(bool)
Object::connect:  (receiver name: 'arora')
Object::connect: No such signal BrowserApplication::zoomTextOnlyChanged(bool)
Object::connect:  (sender name:   'arora')
QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine.
QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine.
QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine.
QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine.
As a normal user :
Code:
~ $ arora
Object::connect: No such slot BrowserApplication::setZoomTextOnly(bool)
Object::connect:  (receiver name: 'arora')
Object::connect: No such signal BrowserApplication::zoomTextOnlyChanged(bool)
Object::connect:  (sender name:   'arora')
Results here:

Maybe a "strip" on the executable will reduce size. This can help significantly with fat C++ stuff.
Actually, the biggest package is probably libqt4-webkit (21 MB). Makes sense too. Gecko and Xulrunner are big as well, as if libwebkit. All the GTK libraries are also already installed...

You could temporarily uninstall one of these rendering engines to make space for libqt4-webkit. Xulrunner is 26 MB, libwebkit is 11 MB. Webkit-eal is 7,8 MB.

This is like saying Mozilla loads less fast than Internet Explorer on Windows 98SE. From a user experience perhaps correct, but technically incorrect given Internet Explorer was already mostly started on the OS.
