Hello,
im the author of a crossplatform network packet generator called Hyenae (http://sourceforge.net/projects/hyenae/). Since i've purchased my first N770 (and later switched to the N810) i fell in love with Maemo, especially that it is able to run security tools such as kismet, nmap and so on. I would love to create a port of Hyenae but since im extremely busy with the actual development of hyenae itself it would be great to have someone arround who is a Maemo pro on porting stuff Hyenae has 2 dependencies:

1. pcap (Allready ported on Maemo)
2. dnet/dumbnet (I know that it runs under Maemo but i havent found and official port so i might have to integrate the whole lib source into Hyenae)

If someone is interested just send me a PM or so

PS:
Thanks again to the community for such a great Mobile OS!

Announcing Hyenae for OS2008 Diablo
Ver. 0.35-1

Thanks to richterr (http://sourceforge.net/projects/hyenae/) for this program.
------------------

This CLI program generates a variety of network attacks. Work in progress but seems stable IMO. Just started playing around with it but seems to work.

Screenshot:
http://www.box.net/os2008/1/38267058...58/393255082/1

Hosted on my NAS
Host on box.net

Depends on libdnet.
ver. 1.11-1 compiled for Diablo: http://www.box.net/os2008/1/38267070/393255340

libpcap package:
http://www.box.net/os2008/1/38267070/393255350 or garage (thanks to Maxim Bourmistrov)

hyenae package:
http://www.box.net/os2008/1/38267070/393255330

----------
Download them and install via
Code:
# dpkg -i
(libpcap will not install via Application Manager but other two will)
-----------
Pretty easy cross-compile for both libdnet and hyenae packages. Could not compile libpcap (luckily already compiled)

Quick tutorial:
Code:
[sbox-DIABLO_ARMEL: ~] > deb-make
[sbox-DIABLO_ARMEL: ~] > nano debian/rules
change to ./configure --prefix=/usr --host arm
Code:
[sbox-DIABLO_ARMEL: ~] > nano debian/control
change architecture from any to armel
Code:
[sbox-DIABLO_ARMEL: ~] > dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
-----------
Will compile for Fremantle if requested (and if I can get that SDK environment up).

If someone wants to post to extras-testing, appreciated (probably needs some tidying).

Yes go right ahead at upload it!
If it had a GUI I'd say to also put it in the maemo garage so we could optimize it for hildon.

But yeah, it's still your work. It's just now running on the N810 (=

Perhaps some x86 binaries would also be useful - a .deb, .rpm, etc.

Keep up the good work. A user guide/tutorial would also be a nice thing to have as I'm not quite sure how to use (or rather how they work) all of the attacks yet.

Thanks,
there is a video tutorial on Security Tube and i will also create a complete set of tutorial videos (but currently my english is too bad:/) Hyenae is delivered with a small Howto but i guess it is not that good right? I really should put some more effort into documentation...
