Hi everybody,
I'm really desappointed cause I don't manage to solve this problem on mine :-(
First I tried with "root" command but it answered me "not found"
Then I tried with another method I found on a Facebook forum but it still doesn't work (see my screen shot).
Can anyone help me please.
Thanks by advance.
Regards.

you need to root your n900, and enable community repository, search it,

Before you issue the command "root" you need to have Rootsh installed

Thank you so much ibrakalifa & mlwane :-)
I installed "rootsh" and then was able to use the "sudo gainroot" command.
So cool!
See the beautiful weather in Paris on my weather widget. LOL
N900 is fantastic. It's a shame Nokia didn't believe in this :-(
Imagine, as Motorola did with its Droid (Milestone in Europe), we could be at the third or the forth generation today!...
Fortunately there's a great community of N900 enthousiasts!
