The council is supposed to represent the maemo.org community to Nokia, not necessarily care about any individual device, OS or project. And keep in mind that officially, according to its own maker, Harmattan is not Maemo (something with which I have always disagreed btw but that's another story).

Well I am sure someone has already said this before, but I am pretty sure the "unlunky contributors" like ItsNotABigTruck or e-yes will a win a device in the app competition for nitdroid and inception respectively ...

And to ensure the meritocracy, what do you think about listing how those devices were used and the output contribs ? like I said the important thing is not rewarding people (we're not free workers), but what are the benefits for the community (users not vendor)....

If we were in a prefect world , any owner who dont use his device should lend it to those "identified core members" ....

But just before i want to point out, that it's not voluntary you talking about, as right you on't have for anybody anything, but no one forced you to volunteer, so don't tell how good you are coz you just did. It's simple, you do not volunteer just to say you did and how helpful you are and so on, than all your points why council exists are wrong.

As well i don't need to explain why i didn't read maillist, or all TMO announcements or wasn't on maemo meeting. It's like telling, if no one see i can do steal that car. No it's not right, and in your country people don't have to check on policemen to be sure they do right thing, untill those corrupted. It's not my laziness, it's your ego. I don't have to check on council to know that they do right things, otherwise it's a sad story if i do. And no, there are more than 4 people as you mentioned.
