I search forum and couldn't find anything relevant so here goes.

Although I bought a nano keyboard, it's still quite big. The Logitech DiNovo-mini is pretty expensive, and there aren't enough people around with one to get an informed opinion about it.

Anyway, a much cheaper and more interesting solution presents itself: using the xbox 360 chatpad. It's been hacked to work with a PSP, so I was wondering how much effort would be required to work with the N800 or 770*.

here's the posting on acidmods with a video:

this also came up in the mp3car forum and there are some nice pictures there:

having read the whole thread, it appears that "jean80" took down his downloads, but someone posted the code here:

jean80's site might be this:

chatpads are available on ebay for very reasonable prices!

* I don't want to be rude to n810 owners, but you've got a keyboard already so be happy. Anyway, my zaurus has a nicer form factor, so there

I guess the Sony equivalent would also do:

it's a mini bluetooth keyboard!

I think I would find myself hitting the "." or "P" button on the xbox 360 chatpad by mistake too often when wanting to backspace. Otherwise it doesn't seem too bad.
