Considering the aged out h/w Alarm brings new life to the n900. We have a fully capable linux kernel and full fledged arm repo to play with. Leaving out the camera/FMTX/GPS mostly everything is working, may require a few tweaks here and there but overall pretty good.

Above all we have dedicated people working on the remaining stuff.

I can believe this is no easy job Just tried enabling:
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_core/autocomp
echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_mpu_iva/autocomp
Both values switch ok, but the device froze within a minute.

Next, following you clue, I enabled just sr_core. Let's see if that improves battery life.

smia-sensor is buggy and not working. you need to use smiapp for front camera.

easystroke with Gesture Button 1 and Aggressive or Medium timeout profile is not perfect but usable.

Return doesn't work correctly in man while trying to search with "/" key. It prints "ESCOM" instead of submitting the entry. Try using ^M

timedatectl can't change timezone, I've used
Code:
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Kiev /etc/localtime -f
Can't find a way to drag windows in openbox with ISO_Level3_Shift AKA AltGr AKA Fn, this is not working:
<mousebind button="ISO_Level3_Shift-Left" action="Drag">

I am very satisfied with the current status of the system. Arch boots in about 5 seconds, and the console is very usable. Under X I am experimenting with e17 with encouraging results.

The main issue for me at this point is power management, as a full battery lasts barely a working day (console+wifi).

Please share your tips to improve battery life.
