The only number there is 900 - this is the number of lines in the scroll buffer, you can replace it with the number of lines you want. I don't know what is the range.

The default scrollback buffer is 200 lines. in my experience 200 lines is too small.

The max number is 2147483647 like many others settings in the N900. Google it if you want to know why.
Edit: yes but such a big number immediately crash X Terminal when launched
So I just setted it to 10000 and it is all good, you must be very courageous to scroll down to up when the 10000 lines are completed (or there is some shortcut maybe ? )
