I want to use the droid font universally in my theme any ideas? No just in the terminal I'm talking the whole phone.

Thanks,
Ali

Are you able to be a bit more specific on what didn't work? For instance:
  • Were you unable to become root?
  • Did you have trouble entering the Perl command?
  • Was an error message displayed after you entered the Perl command? If so, what was the error message, exactly?
  • Did the Perl command appear to succeed without the font change taking effect?
  • Another problem entirely?

It worked for me, in the Marina theme with the following command (in root):

Code:
perl -pi -e "s/Nokia Sans/Droid Sans/g" \
   /usr/share/themes/marina/gtk-2.0/gtkrc \
   /usr/share/themes/marina/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.input_method \
   /usr/share/themes/marina/matchbo*/theme.xml

Thanks

How would I go about using my own font instead of the Droid font? such as if I want to use Tahoma or something?

Hey guys, I am a complete noob with terminal. Could somebody please explain how I put the perl command into terminal? do the "\" signify presses of the enter key? do I separate lines with the enter key? I am not sure of the keystrokes that are needed to input this correctly and to execute it... :/ any help would be appreciated.

Try perl instead of pearl

EDIT:
Just tried it for myself, looks great Thanks a lot!

EDIT2:
Just realized it does not realy change everything. At least these remain unchanged. Any clue how to change them?

- Font in Conversation
- Font of the name on 'Desktop Contacts'
