This caught my eye the other day. This startup claims to have a phone (sporting an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 845) in development which utilizes Windows on ARM (WoA) for x86 emulation. Allegedly, they have been working together with Microsoft to somehow use the telephony stack for phone calls which had been removed from Windows 10.

Let's hope this thing is real.

There is one WOA version with telephony capabilities testes on a 950XL. After that Microsoft removed that function. It was even possible to send text messages. It would be great having such a device

Well seems no tech really ever goes out of fashion
I was so sure windows phone was buried with Lumia that I did not expect to see anything ever come up again.
