Hello guy I have UMPlayer on my Pc for a while and I'm very pleased with it does anyone think it would be easy to make a port for maemo as it's coded in Qt.

I second that, but both Maemo and Harmattan versions would be better!

We could always use more media players, especially the ones with desktop-like quality features. I like how this one has YouTube/shoutcast/subtitle searching, streaming, downloading. I wonder if it has cover art search and Last.fm support..
Either way, as long as it's going to both Maemo and MeeGo, I'm fine with it.

This is absolutely awsome, thanks a lot.

I just used it to watch a movie in the train tonight, and it worked very well, smoothly. There are some glitches when switching between windowed mode and full screen (mostly responsiveness issues I think) and the grey bar at the bottom, but we can definitely deal with it. Even the subtitles downloader works! The Youtube search works too, but I was unable to play videos (probably because my 3G connection was crappy). Opening directories to play lists of music files works too, and it opens up another window for the list (Harmattan only shows one thumbnail in Applications view, not two, but both are displayed when switching back to UMPlayer view), but I did not find how to resize it unfortunately.

Doesn't work for me. When i try to install UMPlayer on my N9 it says:

"Can't install
Invalid installation package"
