Hi community,

since a few days, the pictures taken with my camera are not being stored automatically anymore. Wondering if anybody else has the same problem or if someone can give me a hint where to dig for solving this problem.

My device is a N9 with OS version 1.2

Thanks all.

Check this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1292545
You have to edit your user-dirs.dirs config file. Probably it got corrupted.
And always use search before posting!

Thanks. Actually, my users-dirs.dirs seems to be okay, i.e. it just looks as it should. Maybe somehow the permissions were changed. Doing a
ls -lsa | grep .dirs

gives me:

-rw--------

for user-dirs.dirs

Got a hunch that this may be wrong... Otherwise, I'm stuck...

That permission is OK. Are you 100% sure you have the correct user-dirs.dirs file?
I suppose you have tried reboot?
Can you move th files that are not showing out/in the device?
You can reset tracker as well, but that will delete all your contacts, messages and call log.

Yep, double checked it.

Yup

Yep. The files are not showing in the gallery, but are there. However, there were some files marked as "corrupted" or "too big". I moved all files from the DCIM-folder on my laptop, did a reboot, took some new pictures - and they are not showing in the gallery. Then again a reboot, and they show up there. But it seems to be a bit randomly, can not find a consistency in the error.

Guess that's what I'll try after a a fsck - maybe this helps. Try and error, though.
