Candidate Announcement

We have now 4 running candidates to 3 council positions, as per association rules (http://wiki.maemo.org/MaemoCommunity...Vereinsordnung) regarding elections in §4.1 dictate.

The candidates are as follows;
  • Feathers McGraw (Sam Hobbs)
  • Mosen (Timo Könnecke)
  • Sicelo (Sicelo Mhlongo)
  • Juiceme (Jussi Ohenoja)

The next important date is next Monday, 3rd July 2017 when the election booth opens.

Dear Maemo community, I have the great honor of introducing the new Community Council for the upcoming Q2/2017 period.

The members of the new council are (in alphabetical order):
  • Juiceme (Jussi Ohenoja)
  • Mosen (Timo Könnecke)
  • Sicelo (Sicelo Mhlongo)

The voting results can be seen on the voting page

I want to thank warmly all the members of the community who participated in this most important action of choosing a new council for us!

The new council shall meet on the #maemo-meeting IRC channel next tuesday 18.06 at 20:00 UTC for the formal handover with the passing council.

Thank you to all who voted! I feel very honored.
Don't now if i need to but i hereby formally accept the outcome of the election.
The current council did a great job, especially with the coding competition.
Fom lurking in irc channel i saw preperations for a Win7Mac initiated developer support program. Let us try to make it a big success in memory to him.

I would also like to take the opportunity and thank everyone for finding all 3 of us worthy of this trust.
Will do everything needed for the community's benefit. and of course, I hope the community as a whole will remain involved

I almost forgot to vote. Next time, would it be possible to send out the voting email only once it is actually possible to vote? I wouldn't be surprised if like me, others wanted to vote when they received the email but then forgot about it by the time they were actually allowed to vote.
