Tim, I would also bump up the size/boldness of the orange characters a bit. Not much, just a bit...and maybe move them closer to the outer edges afterward (if it's black background on black shirt the letter edges can actually be tangent to the perimeter, which certainly allows larger font size.

Hmmm I see the "X" and I keep thinking that it is somehow bad, because it is a contrary symbol to the usual check... maybe its just me...
Edit: Even worse, a co-worker peeked over my shoulder and asked me if that was a logo for a XXX rated movie or something like that
