A sneak peek of some upcoming gallery improvements, thanks to 'special':

I've also spent saturday making the switch gesture a lot less sensitive/annoying (hopefully).

And last night/today, I spent on trying to hack up a working battery icon for the N950/N9. I think I succeeded, need to let my battery run down to see

None of these are integrated yet, but... they're in the pipeline... Of course, many hands make light work, so if you've got an itch to scratch, come help scratch it...

Can you make it red when it's drying up fast?

As far as I know, it should. I haven't tried. If it doesn't, pop into #nemomobile on freenode and give someone a yell. (Be patient, especially if you're outside european hours, as there's not loads of us around then )

My focus for now is to get it working at all. Extra features.. later, maybe. If you want to try, of course, you're welcome.

Some more prototyping from special, this time on a messaging UI...

Backend for this is going to be a little bit difficult, but at least the UI part is coming along so far

A new contacts application, written in QML, has just had its initial integration.

Here's some screenshots of the current state:

The editor:

The contact viewer:

Plenty still to do, and a lot of bugs to address (like this list here) but I hope you'll agree that it's not too bad looking

To be honest: IMHO "the" iPhone messaging theme (bubbles, and text not fully justified) is actually bad looking...

It's not a finished product. It's the sum of an hour or two's worth of mocking things up. It's not going to look good at this stage.

But if that's the kind of reaction I'm going to get, I won't keep posting things like that
