Do you need rcore file also?

Thanks! The crash appears to be caused by contacts without the standard name (e.g. with just a nickname). I am terribly busy at the moment, but the fix should be trivial, so I will try to find a moment tonight or tomorrow to prepare an update.

Now, that is what I call a bug report

Okie dokie, Qalendar 0.9.2 is ready. The only change is that fixed crash. Thumb version sits in my repository, while the standard version passed the autobuilder and should reach extras-devel soon.

There, gidzzz fixed it! Thank you! I was lost in my trip without Qalendar

Now for something different. My other N900 has different theme. What could be the reason for these huge Todo/Birthday icons?

I'm not involved in Qalendar development, but can you also post a screenshot of the same view in stock calendar app? I think it can be useful (for comparing how does it look now and how should it look to mimic stock calendar in detail)

Thanks for the tip!

First image is from Qalendar, second is from stock Calendar. Now it's clear that Calendar uses different icons

I checked AwOken icon theme and I would say that neither application displays correctly.
  • Calendar displays incorrectly because AwOken provides its own "calendar_todo" icon and it does not respect that.
  • Qalendar uses icons from current theme, but displays incorrectly because AwOken provides only 48x48 icon (in the default theme there is also 16x16) and because of this bug: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-17953.

I think todos and birthdays should be themable, so I decided to work around the mentioned bug in Qt. It looks different from Calendar, but the size is correct. All changes in Qalendar 0.9.3:
  • Added a workaround for a Qt icon scaling bug which led to incorrect emblem sizes with some icon themes.
  • Highlight current day in the month view even if it does not belong to the focused month.
  • Top-aligned event description in the event window.
