The Sygic site
http://www.sygic.com
seems to no longer list maemo as an operating system or the N900 as a compatible device.

All I see are Iphone/Ipad, android, symbian, and bada.

Yes, they stopped to support Maemo / Meego several weeks ago. There was a Thread where it was announced.

repository.sygic.com is down.
If you reinstall mobile maps now, you can't get the latest update.
Anyone has the update archived somewhere?

I wondered why I kept getting the repo error messages, it is pretty disappointing they are not even giving 12 months support after selling the app to thier last customer?

I had Sygic Mobile Maps, cost me around $60, it was AWFUL imo. I hardly ever used it. I actually have a much better experience with voice-less Ovi maps. Waste of money. No tears here.

I'm jealous, wish I could've enjoyed it. But it would take around 5 minutes outside to load and find a gps signal, compared with around 45 seconds with Ovi maps. Plus the Sygic maps to me weren't as clear. Just my view. Glad you had a good experience. Here's hoping the upcoming N950 will have voice Ovi maps.

Anyone knows where mobile maps stores it's activation, should the activation servers go down too?
Or how to make a fully working backup?

I bought Sygic when it came out and it works perfect for me.
Sad that they stopped the maemo support.
