Once again, Python is the best choice for beginners.

Ps, to learn assembler by studying commands and trying to write programs, like you do with highlevel languages, without understanding the simple logic that ML relies on is just madness...
However, to write useful programs in assembler can get very complicated, just because assembler/ML in itself is so primitive.

Here is an example for kids to learn how assembler works.
-To learn small kids C is impossible, but with exercises like this, they can easily learn how assembler works.
