Ok so I have managed to get some fine hairline scratch (es) on the chrome strip below the camera while waiting on my ZAGG full body armor. This is just taking it in and out of my shirt pocket that had a (plastic) pen clipped to it !!
Anyone know the exact material of this ? I am going to try the Flitz compound to buff the scratches as it is suitable for both metal and plastics.

Anyone else has any thoughts

Also thinking of turning my china made (have 2 - made in china and finland) black 64GB N9 into a cyan 64GB N9 using this

and this

I know the N9 cyan is only availble in 16GB version. Does anyone know if there is any difference in the 16GB vs 64GB variant ? Is the 64GB slight deeper or any other differences like that before I go purchase the cyan case?

It's the kind of material that's 100% sure to get hairline scratches. Haven't worried about it at all.
Reminds me of my first gen ipod touch that's whole back was same kind of polished metal. You could not tell what the backplate was made of after month of use, as it was one big mess of scratches.

There's no difference between 16GB and 64, nothing that you can see by naked eye at least.

shame that Nokia didn't make the strip from brushed aluminium

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that tip, let us know how it goes.
I'm getting a screen protector & something to protect the chrome strip, or maybe the full body armor.
I will be doing that BEFORE I start to use my N9...

AFAIK there's absolutely no difference, other than the different capacities.
If you do go ahead, maybe you could document the tear-down here?

I've already started a thread there, and the above manual place-holder.
But I've not added anything substantive yet, as I still don't have my N9.
There's already a service manual, but I'm hoping to doco something a bit more useful there.

I just bought a cyan silicon case (original nokia, just like the one that came with the phone) for my black N9. It makes the N9 a bit thicker but it's a nice change, no risk, and now my phone looks like a cyan one. Also I like the feel of the case better than the bare phone. It has better grip.
