Yes, Qim Gil mentioned that in a post to the 'tablet advocacy' thread a few days ago. Another part of that news guesstimates ETA 'within a few weeks'... which is unusually precise for a Nokia deadline :-)

Applications built for OS 2006 may work on OS 2007HE, just as they may work on OS 2007 on N800. OS 2007 apps should work on OS 2007HE. Some apps (eg. Skype) won't work on OS 2007HE.

Work is ongoing to update the Internet Tablet OS 2007 Hacker Edition for the Nokia 770 to match as closely as possible the latest IT OS release for the N800 and fix outstanding bugs.
