I seem to be contradicted so I delete this post to remove any future confusion.

It should run, but probably not very well.
The command they use to start it is this:
java -cp jts.jar:hsqldb.jar:jcommon-1.0.12.jar:jfreechart-1.0.9.jar:jhall.jarther.jar:rss.jar -Xmx512M jclient.LoginFrame .

The -Xmx512M option sets the max memory use to 512 MB which is a bit much for the n900

Code:
-sh: java: not found.
I for one have seen no java in stock N900. What package(s) is required?

Have you tried the above program? Here is the most up to date version. Just wondering if you can run it smoothly? If not, maybe if you overclock the kernel?
