hey hi,i am coding a tiny tool to configure Tor Status Area Applet,
mainly updates it's bridges relay . 'cause as far as i know,the only things you need to do to let this software work is just UPDATE it's bridge.
but i can't find a way to add bridges by edit tor's configure files.
so,
does anyone know how to edit tor configure files?

here's what i did but didn't work:
i added those lines in the bottom of /etc/tor/torrc

UseBridges 1
bridges host1 : port
bridges host2 : port
bridges host3 : port
//host is the address i've got;

and i tired this,but didn't work as well:

6: Added theses 2 lines to end of the file:

ExitNodes server1, server2, server3
StrictExitNodes 1

7: Replaced server1, server2 and server 3 with UK exit nodes (found from http://proxy.org/tor.shtml)

so,does anyone know what exactly to edit those files to make it work ?
