Am buying a phone with a code of 059J1V4 64GB, am guessing that's Austrian made, through some Google around, but can I flash any firmware to it, or is it specific? Also I've seen some people having problems with this variant, since I live in the UK would I be able to get Nokia care to fix it if anything broke?

I flashed my N9 from:

Switzerland CH Black, 059L5D0

to:

North Europe NDT Black, 059J1Z8

No problems whatsoever

Nokia UK, will look at it with some limitations!

I have a scratch on my screen which is probaby the antiglare filter! Nokia UK said as they do not have the parts for the N9 they can not replace it! I guess anything which is similar to the 800 is ok! i.e. latch, sim tray holder issues and firmware flashes etc. They may even be able to change the camera module etc assuming its all the same!

Nokia UK said i would have to contact Nokia Denmark and they said i had to contact the shop i bought it from! It's all a lot of hassle so i never bothered in the end!

Just be super careful with it! use a cover etc! good luck
