Go to any Android forum & you'll find far more people who are quick to say the same for Maemo.
This forum is well moderated in my experience, & I often hound the mods.
But it sounds like Maemo6x is of very little interest to you...
So I guess my argument isn't going to be persuasive....
for instance I personally would NEVER put Android on the N9. Though I don't have it yet, I'm gonna exchange an Android for Harmattan soon and am looking forward to it very much.

Maybe it's not a big issue at all.
Lets see how it evolves....

I follow a lot of different forums too but we are the exception, not the norm.
Anyway that wasn't really my point, lets see how it goes, prolly no "biggy".

I do understand jalyst's point though. Why drive all the 'traffic' of this forum onto another? This could be another means of advertising. Although you maybe following 10 forums at the moment, other user's most likely wont. They may only visit the NITDroid forum, and stop visiting this forum; where other events will occur, such as Iced Robot.

Of course, I still support the NITDroid team 100%.

By the way, just to keep everyone and this thread updated:

What is working [on the N9 Android port]:
- dualboot kernel (without reflashing), ability to choose OS after power on.
- 3D drivers, OpenGL
- hwrotation (portrait mode only, accelerometer HAL doesn't work)
- touchscreen (multitouch)
- hw buttons (volume, power)
- USB networking
- lcd off in sleep mode
- alarm driver, RTC
- mounting MyDocs as "SDCard" (realized; NOT FIXED, but HACK EXISTS]
- basic video decoding (sw) and playback, youtube (choppy)
- basic CellMo functionality: network registration, USSD, SMS, data (GPRS/EDGE/3G), signaling. Actually, ofono/ofono-ril stack is used: all things that it able to do on the n900.
- bluetooth (scanning, can pair devices. I didn't test deeper).

Also e-yes has tested the Twitter app (a while ago) on the N9, and states everything is working perfectly: http://yfrog.com/oceunwrj
