Hello,

everytime receiving an icq-message with special german chars like "ä ö ü ß Ä Ö Ü", I get an error, that the charset is not set correctly.

Does anyone know how to set the correct charset?

Thanks for links or tips - board search didn't found anything.

Bye

ISO8859-15 seems to be common.

Had the same problem (and I believe the solution was posted in the forums somewhere...):

Just go to VoIP/Chat Account Settings > ICQ Account > Advanced settings and change the Charset from "UTF-8" to "Iso-8859-15".

Thanks,

works fine.

For all others:

The correct spelling ist: "ISO8859-15" anything else didn't work for me.

And one tip: After changing the charset, the port switched to -12xxxx(big number). I had to set it back to 5190. Now everything works well.

So thanks again.
