Hi to all
Someone know how to create package with extra video codecs, like in n900?
Which files, where it's need to be located on n9? Maybe files from n900 package?
Not all videos playable on n9 :/

This would be great....have hundreds of videos from my n8 that doesnt play. Videos filmed before n8 camera upgrade works but not the ones filmed after. Too bad.

Yes we need extra codecs... most videos can't play for example some .wmv files I CAN play and some I can NOT play.... not sure why.

yeah we need that like water, video playing is creepy on N9 and since the updated to PR 1.2 do you perceive some lag in the reproduction? no a general lag, but like is missing some frames at intervals?

out of curiosity what video formats it does not play?

Anyway the N9 still uses gstreamer as the backend so afaik basically it's a matter of compiling the needed plugins for it. Most likely you want gstreamer-ffmpeg and if that is the case see http://www.gnuton.org/blog/2011/11/g...1-2-harmattan/

Did you even try mplayer in your phone? It plays everything (everything your hardware is capable of, of course)
