I'm just curious as to how may people would like an app for ebay for the N9. Just like the one for Android.

Features would include:

* Full access to My Ebay - watched, bidding, ended items, messages etc.
* Category search - search items using categories.
* Search - search for items on ebay with all the standard filters and sorting available.
* List items for sale.

I am currently building this and want to know how many people it would be useful to.

Options are:

- Yes definitely I can't live without it.
- Yes it would be handy but not essential
- I don't care really.
- Nah don't waste your time we don't want it.

===== EDIT =====

IT IS HERE!

See this thread for a download link and screen shots:

Do the options not show up for you at the top?

I guess the first option would be the one for you:

Yes definitely I can't live without it.
I can perform searches and sort currently working on applying filters.

It's currently not in a usable state, the difficulty has been getting it to look right rather than the actual web service interface with ebay. Once i have the various GUI elements the rest should be relatively easy.

However I am confident I can provide just as much features as the Android app plus more N9 specific.

Nice!
If you need a beta-tester or something like that i'll gladly help any way I can

Are you building it with the Nokia QT-platform?

It's a bit early for beta testers yet, but I will announce it within the next few weeks - you help will be most welcome! This week is going to be a big push to try and get as much completed as possible.

I'm using QML as a the GUI, then a C++ Web service framework as the backed with Qt as the glue between them.

Cool, vote away so I can get accurate figures.

I was getting a little worried when I saw the two options people had ticked were the bottom two!

I voted for the second option because I could live without this application, then thought that my vote is rather for something in between the two options: yes, it would definitely be awsome and very handy, but I could live without that, just as I could live without my N9 (not sure though ).

For the N900, yes.
But it sounds like it shouldn't be impossible to port, right?

Yup, you have my support.. that would be cool if you can implement it like the N9 UI.. very smooth.. with Android app-like features.

But an eBay app already exists? It's called Shopper or something.. although it lacks many features..
