A couple more links:

Marko Saukko's shared the slides to his talk, "Porting Nemo Mobile and Mer Project to new Hardware"

and David Greave's 'How do we make "Qt on Mer" the solution of choice for device vendors?' has popped up here.

For the 5th year in a row, the Tizen community will meet again at FOSDEM. FOSDEM, is one of the most important Free and Open Source Software event in Europe.

We're coming from world wide (S.Korea, UK, Poland, Bulgaria, France...) to meet you on 31 Jan & 1 Feb at ULB Solbosch Campus, Brussels, Belgium

What you can expect from Tizen Community, this year :

Meet and listen to Tizen developers from worldwide
Look at demos at EFL/Tizen booth (K building, Qt and Gnome should not be far from us).
Eat at Tizen Community's dinner
Learn and discover about Free Libre and Open Source software.

Note for latest news about Tizen at FOSDEM, please refer to wiki : https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/FOSDEM

Well, I won't make it to FOSDEM this year - too much other stuff going on. So hopefully next year!

On the other hand I will be on the DevConf confereence in Brno a week after FOSDEM & will be even organizing an Anaconda Installer workshop there.

I know that Ash Nazir (tizenexpert) did. He had some updates that he shared on his newly rebranded site. So did a couple of others - but no updates were shared here I do not think.

I didn't go but most of the talks are now available online:

https://fosdem.org/2018/schedule/#devrooms

I didn't find a Purism talk but perhaps the one most relevant to this forum was Sebastian Reichel's talk on Mainline Linux on Motorola Droid 4.

There was indeed a big discussion around Purism librem 5 project and the state of linux on mobile in general.

It was a lengthy discussion and I'm not sure I can really summarise it all here.

I hope Purism listen to the concerns we raised and take that on board to make their project a success
