Hi! Sorry for filling the forums for yet another "My N9 is bricked thread", but I've tried reading through past threads and nothing seems to work. I need help...

About a week ago, my Nokia N9 ran out of battery and turned off. I plugged it in and left it for several hours so it could charge. When I tried to boot it, I found myself in a reboot loop: the nokia logo showed up, then the phone turned off and tried to reboot itself.

I decided the easiest thing to do would be to reflash the phone, which I'd done many times before. However, no matter how many times I try, the flash always fails.

Code:
sh-3.2# flasher -f -F firmware.bin
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct 5 2011) Harmattan

Fetching error list:

ERROR: Failed to flash images
I've tried using different computers, redownloading the firmware image, etc.

The nokia logo doesn't even show up anymore. When I plug the phone in, the LED turns on for a bit, then turns off. Nothing ever shows up on the screen.

Any ideas?

Prepared to lose data?

Try:

flasher -f -F main.bin --erase-user-data=secure

I'm prepared.

That doesn't work though, unfortunately.

That's exactly what I've been trying to do, except I'm using the terminal built into OSX rather than using Ubuntu.

For whatever reason, Ubuntu kernel panics when I try to boot it on my 2012 Macbook Air. I could try borrowing a friend's computer but I don't think it would make a difference anyway... I'm running the same program.

ok heres the trick..it happenes to my n9 too..under my assumtion that the n9 hasnt booted at all..aka theres no power to charge it..it happens whenever my phone completely drains.. what i do is..use an ORIGINAL NOT USB blackberry or nokia charger.. i hope you have nitroid installed..keep unplugging and plugging till it tells you to push button-up to boot to nitroid..it will charge after boot..once it boots to 10%.. you can boot to meemo

Pheonix doesn't find my phone when I scan for devices... is there something i have to do?

Chiagn900, I don't have nitdroid installed, but I'm pretty sure my phone does have battery power. According to the nokia flasher, the battery is at 100%...
