How can I force Jolla to stay in 3G?

Now often the phone switch to 2G even in good reception, with poor sound quality and can not at the same time, for example, browse the web...

Thanks.

(sorry lousy english)

Hello, i face the same issue and posted this:

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=92436

Some times ago.

Seems it is not possible for now to force 3G only. We'll have to wait on Jolla. There are also several thread on Questions forum that you can upvote.

Best regards.

It's doable, you only need to force ofono to go to PREF_NET_TYPE_WCDMA mode.
Not possible via user interface, that is true

perhaps from terminal :
dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.ofono /ril_0 org.ofono.RadioSettings.SetProperty string:"TechnologyPreference" variant:string:"umts"

Does this really change access-mode to PREF_NET_TYPE_WCDMA ?

I think not... and Jolla do nothing... I had to switch back to N9 because of this (and also the lack of call recorder...)

Omg nieldk, maybe for pycage it did not work but for me it did!!!

Pure awesomeness. I can't believe Jolla provided this buggy LTE and connection management (yes, for me it is, new conman hot-fix is even worse) and weren't able to add this "simple" command which solved everything for my needs.

Thank you so muuuuuuuuch!!!!!!!

I owe you one, ask anything.
