What’s the ultimate scarf length?

for fancy occasion or for working outside...
I would suggest a standard size scarf...
For being outdoors ...going for walks etc...
any activity that does not require serious movement or getting a scarf caught ...
I highly suggest a good muffler scarf...
a good 20 feet long is perfect for keeping warm, content and happy.

Colour? Color? Cooler?

florescent pink if you wish...
who am I to suggest the colour of a scarf one wishes to wear?

I would suggest racing stripes or flames sewn onto the scarf ...
It is well documented that such additions help in going reeeeely reeely fast

here we have a perfect influenza virus example which has a mortality rate of 40% currently (goodness knows what that percentage will become as it mutates) which has broken out repeatedly already...
and which ...just to make matters that much more convenient for its spread...
the chinese government is refusing to share virus samples for vaccine creation... with the rest of the world ...

Perfect specimen and perfect political conditions...for a pandemic.

right now ..a 40% mortality rate flu virus would spread across the planet and do its job..faster than we could come up the vaccine for it...
it would screw us ...and any hope of climbing back up to the level of civilisation we are currently at.

the madness of our species knows no bounds...

we are past overdue.
its just a matter of the right conditions ...

full oxygen mask isn't necessary...

however during an influenza outbreak gloves worn in public or work places if possible is a good idea,
if that isn't possible, washing hands with soap and water conscientiously is a good idea.
avoiding touching the face with hands that have had contact with surfaces exposed to the virus is a good idea.
as well since one of the prime methods of spread is aerosol ..
a mask is a good idea , oxygen isn't necessary, the aerosol particulate from a sneeze or cough isn't small enough to penetrate a simple mask.

- more than eight hours on hard surfaces such as stainless steel and plastic
- up to five minutes on hands after transfer from other surfaces.

Public or work environments, those with children or who are exposed to children (since kids tend to be one of the largest group that spread a flu ) or who are in contact with people who have children or work in environments with children, are prone to infection.

Smart and thorough practices are suggested.

I know when flu season strikes...
everyone at work is extra cautious in keeping tabletop surfaces, equipments, radios, phones, mice, keyboards, etc...sterile and clean.
Spreading a flu to the entire contingent at our Ops center is not something that is needed.

So ...
a lot of paranoia can keep one healthy during and after flu's have come and gone...

(for myself it has been more than a decade since I have had a flu or cold..
I pin it down to smart precaution, and eating plenty of foods that keep the immune system performing well, and the body temperature high...onion, garlic, curry, all the stuff that wins friends and influences people ...but it seems to do the job...)
