Hi guys

Is it possible to create a little shortcut/application/widget that when clicked with load X-terminal and enter 'free' in order for me to get my free RAM?

I was using systeminfowidget from extras-testing but it is seriously flawed and it drains your battery, gives you out of memory warnings & slows the phone down.

Any help is much appreciated! (Dumb it down as much as possible when it comes to gaining route access etc... I'm a noob)

Thanks in advance

Take look at this archebytes post at another thread
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=409122&postcount=3

so modifying that:

Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=0.1
Type=Application
Terminal=true
Name=xterm-free
Exec=/usr/bin/osso-xterm free
Icon=
#X-Window-Icon=timerwidget
X-Window-Icon=
X-HildonDesk-ShowInToolbar=true
X-Osso-Type=application/x-executable
should do it.

HA! I had question similar to yours. Anyway another user has informed me that systemwidget has been updated to fix the memory leak:
