Is there a way to launch more than one terminal window on my n900?

I have a specific ruby script that crunches numbers in the background. It can take (up to) several hours to process info. That's normal behavior.

While it's crunching, I'd like to be able to open a (another) separate terminal window to ssh out/IRC/etc. When I click on xterminal, it simply brings me to the already-open and crunching window.

Press SHIFT-CTRL-X, and it will open a new terminal regardless of how many are currently running

Tap on X terminal. It has a menu. Then tap on New.
Repeat as many times as you like!

Actually, you're limited to 4 windows altogether (or rather, 4 consoles - ssh connections will count as well).

It's always been possible to configure the limit yourself. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=38426

Thanks - looks like dpkg decided not to replace the /etc/init.d/rcS file (I had an /etc/init.d/rcS.dpkg-dist file as well), which is why it's not picked up the new setting.
