Very interesting, thanks!

Edit: I am the only thinking that the whole answers could be summed in "Everything will be all right, we swear!" and "We don't know yet, and have no plans to say when we will know."

What a sad state of affairs. I love my N900 to death but if this Meego thing isn't officially supported on it will be my last Nokia device. Ever.

Thank you for shafting your customers Nokia. Shame.

One more here. Have been with Nokia since the 1610 and this is my most expensive Nokia so far. If they turn it into an expensive paper weight within one month of me getting it, it is the last money they will be seeing from me.

Very bad business decision - hard to justify, really.

I am joked upon by my tech friends and colleagues for having bought this... "white elephant"

That to me looks to be a definite refusal to answer the question rather than not knowing the answer, at the very least they should know if the teams are doing what they would need to do if they had made the decision to make this platform available right from the start.

This bit especially worries me as potential tailtail signs about the future of Maemo and the N900:

"@toyg Q: will the #Maemo-#Meego transition slow down the #OviMaps roadmap?

@toyg A: No, definitely not slowing down! Ovi Maps will be on MeeGo. #NokiaMWC"

All is not lost though

As a consumer, my main concern is about the n900 Im paying for over the next 12 months and every answer involving it's future feels wishy washy. Answers like "too early to tell" don't help much.

To be honest, the more I read about the future of Maemo and now MeeGo I begin to see that things are not playing out as I would have liked and had expected when I bought the n900. I bought into the hype, that Nokia was going to get behind Maemo and build it into the the next generation flag ship OS. Ofcourse, that disappointment I feel is nobodies fault but my own for reading the wrong things and assuming too much. But live and learn.

I just can't get behind the move to MeeGo, and I don't like how this community seems to have been taken for granted. Not that I've contributed anything of any worth personally, but the guys who were advocates, who spent their time and effort to build it up into something with real momentum have been crapped on from a great height imo.
