You just need to enter http://www.slate.com as the url and FC would discover the feed.
The only problem you'll get is that FC is not able to cache all pages of articles because there is no url such as "next page". I think I'll add ability to use "view as single page" link to the next FC version.

Hm... FC cannot parse slate's feed. I'll check what is wrong.

Feedcircuit will bring down the first page (with all the pictures and graphics), plus it will also cache the complete text version of the article. (To access the text version, just scroll down to the end of the first page, and press the "PRINT" link.)

It should very nice if FC could work like AvantGo for general pages and also for such "mobiles pages".

Yes, it does work. See my earlier post.
1 - Only the page with headlines was saved.
2 - App. Manager stays stuck and does not download it after uninstallation. Should I remove the files still present after uninstallation in .../.config/feedcircuit/ ?

Thanks lm2. Now it works very well.
The second question: I was able to solve it just now when I tried about several times to download feedcircuit until it worked. I had uninstalled it and could not download it again. Solved.
